One afternoon street shooting in Brazil I met some very friendly builders, through sign language and gestures we made friends and I shot around their work finally ending in this capture as one of the men got into his truck. I speak very little portuguese after spending 3 months in Brazil, but photography crosses these barriers easily and they thought it was hilarious to be photographed. Later I met up with them again as after work they all return to their watering hole on the other side of town. I am always amazed at how may small camera can lead to great meetings with normal people who feel honoured to be photographed through the lens.
